Village activities

The best activities in the town of Monterosso al Mare, in the province of La Spezia

Bygone villages and secret beaches can be found hidden in the Cinque Terre, and one of these is Monterosso al Mare, an ancient fishing village nestled between Punta Mesco and the island of Tinetto. Protected by a modest artificial cliff, Monterosso represents the westernmost part of this corner of the Ligurian territory, where you will find beautiful landscapes on the sea, as well as an influential architectural heritage.
Experience a comfortable stay at our guesthouse. A Ca' da Alba is ideal for solo travellers, couples and families looking for a relaxing accommodation equipped with all of the comforts and surrounding the entirety of Monterosso al Mare.

The village of Fegina

Among the activities not to be missed when staying in the town of Monterosso al Mare is the village of Fegina, located to the west of the original village, beyond Cappuccini Hill.

This natural expansion is relatively modern and characterised by a tourist-seaside facility with respect to the ancient village, which can be reached through a tunnel of a few tens of metres. The local railway station is located in Fegina and there are extensive beaches among the narrow cliffs that characterise the Cinque Terre's other villages.

A sandy beach and a panoramic boardwalk

One of the village's most popular activities is sunbathing on its wonderful sandy beaches and enjoying the scenic boardwalk promenade. Here, the relatively flat terrain is split into two halves - the old town and the modern centre - and is easy to get around on foot, while the surrounding hills are abound with dreamlike views and medieval monuments, such as the Church of San Giovanni Battista.
